KATHERINE E. KAY HOUSTON Kay was born in Winnipeg on September 16, 1915. Kay passed away at age 89 in Encino, in the San Fernando Valley. She was predeceased by her son Dick, she will be forever remembered and loved by her daughters, Eila McGuinness (Barrie) of Winnetka, California, Wanda Molnar (Doug) of Ottawa; daughter-in-law Lee; sisters, Eva, Pauline, Irene; brother Fred; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She worked as a hairdresser at T. Eaton Co. In 1957 she moved to Inglis and ran her own hairdressing business. She moved to Van Nuys, California at age 50 where she worked in the nursing profession and retired at age 62 from the Motion Picture Hospital in Calabasses, California. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lukes Zion Lutheran Church, 2903 McPhillips Street.
